Kedar Woods began because a tailor down the road kept breaking table tops. Not the machines — the surfaces under them.

Chipboard would swell in the monsoon, the laminate would lift at the edge, and within two seasons the whole thing had to be replaced.

The fix was not complicated. Use a denser core. Seal every face, not just the one you can see. Band the edges properly. Cut the machine opening for the model the customer actually owns. None of it is clever. It is simply what stops a top from swelling and peeling after a few monsoons. That is also why we cover what we sell for 12 months against manufacturing faults.

One thing has not changed since then: someone here calls you before your order ships, and we do not take payment online. Sizing a table top is a conversation, and it is easier to have it before money changes hands than to arrange a refund afterwards. We would rather have the awkward conversation before the lorry leaves than after.
